Bursary Application Letter

A bursary application letter is a letter written by a student who is submitting a bursary application for his/her studies. This letter is addressed to the company that is offering bursaries.

A bursary application letter must be as simply as possible and must contain information needed. When you write the bursary letter you must avoid using unnecessary phrases but stick to most important details. The layout of the letter must contain the following information.

1. Your postal address
2. The letter date
3. The address of the company
4. The heading
5. Formal Greetings
6. At least 3 to 4 paragraphs
7. Regards
9. And your full name and surname

BURSARY APPLICATION LETTER

Dear Sir/Madan,

I hereby apply for your electrical engineering bursary for year 2015.

I am currently studying at the University of Cape Town toward a Bachelor Science degree. My performance is satisfactory and I am confident that I will do well this year end.

I am in financial need to help me pay for my school fees for next year. Please find my bursary application form attached to this letter.
